Famous for a Day is the creation of Scott Cramton, founder of American Immersion Theater, an immersive theater company with a mission to create opportunities for participation.
Famous for a Day, an American Immersion Theater subsidiary, began as a gift. Scott’s dad was always a lively, passionate man who loved performing. Ron was determined to continue providing for his family in Detroit by working long hours in a factory which, unfortunately, left little time for acting. Scott’s father always wondered what it would be like to be famous, but he never had the luxury to do so. For his birthday one year, Scott got actors together to surprise his dad with a paparazzi experience, and the whole family loved it! Ron Cramton passed away in 2017, but his legacy still lives on through Scott. Now, the company brings memorable, exciting experiences to over 30 cities nationwide.
